What I need for the code unlock process?

The only unique information you need to unlock your code is the radio serial number which can be retrieved from the radio screen.

How do I retrieve my radio serial number?

If your Honda is newer than 2001, then you can retrieve from the screen:

  • Turn your ignition switch to ON, also turn your radio ON and ensure you can read coDE on the screen. In a negative case, remove the battery connection for one minute and try again.
  • Once you see coDE on the screen, power OFF the radio and then press and hold down the preset buttons 1 and 6 while you turn ON the radio.
  • The serial should be displayed on the screen with one of the next formats:
    • U1234 L1234
    • 12345678
    • GBT12345678
  • Note: Your serial may be split into two screens (i.e U1234 and L1234)
  • Get rid of the letters and keep the 8 digits series. That's your serial number.



If your Honda is older than 2001 then you need to pull out your radio. The serial is engraved on the radio case sticker. Example: 12345678, GBT12345678, GBH12345678, etc. For old Jazz models, the serial may also look like M96G184942.

Note: After submitting your serial, it may take up to 12 hours to receive your code. Normally, if you are from Canada, it takes from m few minutes to 2 hours.
